One of the most well known fighting series is back and it is bigger than ever. Super street fighter 4 is an upgrade to the high reviewed game street fighter 4. I myself never been a fighting type of guy until i dived into super street fighter 4. I knew from the start this game was going to set the bar for fighting games. The moves and combos are challenging and fun. This game is not your average fighter.
This game is really fun. I mean really fun! The aspects of the game just make it better every time i play it. Jumping around shooting fireballs couldn't get any better. Super street fighter 4 is a big upgrade from the original. Bringing in new ultra combos for each character and 10 new characters. That brings the cast .to 35 characters and I gotta say, the ultra combos are just incredible they are so well put together. The new characters re thankfully strong and useful. Each character has their own strengths and weaknesses and you will find yourself spending a lot of time trying to learn each characters moves. Some characters have tweaks while some stay the same. You also notice the balance is a lot better.
The controls are a bit weird at first, but you would eventually get used to them. light and medium attacks are a bit funky for you thumb. A lot of street fighter gamers like to use a fightstick or fightpad. These helps you have an easier time landing your moves. The game play isn't easy though. It takes time to get every special move and ultra combo down perfectly. Who doesn't like a nice challenge? The game sucks you in and you just cant stop playing match after match, perfecting your skill.
In a fighting game you need a good fighting modes. It great to say that super street fighter 4 brings that to the table. The arcade mode provides weak stories with a number of stages. You might play through each character but they are something you would forget in time. There is the challenge mode where you complete combos and challenges. Training and vs mode help you train and play with player vs player. The strength of the game is the online mode though. You have a choice of a ranked match, endless battle and team battle. The ranked match is just simply 1on 1, and the team battle is 4 on 4 battles. The endless battle is a bit different. You are in a lobby and if you keep on winning your matches you never leave, simple as that. Ranked matches measure your pp(player points) and your bp(battle points). Your pp is your points for all your battles while your bp measures one character.
The graphics have the same street fighter touch. and the sound is nice with the occasionally annoying announcer in the background. The stages for the fights are nice with the additional characters reacting to the fight. It makes you seem like you are on a real street fight.
So lets get this straight. 10 new characters, all new ultras, all new strategies, tweaks and balance fixes, can it get any better? The eagerly waited for game SSF4 is finally here and it's big. So dive in and give it a try!
